he replaces the atlanta pastor who bowed out last week after a controversy erupted over his anti-gay sermon that he delivered back in the 1990s. so as the final preparations move forward for monday's inauguration in full swing, i'm joined by kerry brown, white house reporter for politico, to talk about the final touches. is the inaugural committee bracing for any more pitfalls in the final days or does it look like smooth sailing ahead? >> i'm sure they're preparing for it because really, anything can happen. this is a huge event even though it's expected to be smaller than it was four years ago. they are still expecting almost a million people, 40,000 people are expected to attend one of the inaugural balls. this is an event or series of events over several days that isn't expected to be as dazzling, so to speak, as four years ago, but really, in many respects, this is going to be a huge deal, especially here in washington, and there's a number of things over several days, a candlelight dinner on sunday night at the kennedy center, a big event monday on the mall where, you know, the
